The TET test is carried out in 2 lectures. Paper-I & Paper-II. Candidates who want to have teachers for grades I to V have to appear for Paper-I and the candidates intend to be teachers for classes VI to VIII must appear for Paper-II. The candidates, who want to be teachers for all classes from I to VIII, may appear for Papers, Paper I, and Paper II.

Date & time of TS - TET: -
TS-TET will be held on 23 July 2017 (Sunday) in all districts of the state. The duration and time of the test are given below:
- Paper - I: 9:30 am to 12 noon (2 ½ hours)
- Paper II: 02.30 to 17.00 (2 ½ hours)
Pass Criteria in TET
The criteria for the test of the pass in TS-TET are as follows:
I) Generally 60% and over
Ii) BC 50% and above
Iii) SC / ST / differentiated (PH) ** 40% and above
Validity Period of TS-TET 2017
TS-TET-Certificate / Marks Memo is valid for a period of 7 years from the date of the TET-examination according to the NCTE guidelines.
Weighttage For TS-TET scores in selection in Teacher Recruitment Test from Telangana State
20% weighting will be given to TS-TET scores in the subsequent teacher recruitment of the government government, i. 20% weighting is for TS-TET score and 80% weight for written exam in Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT)
